This is a 58-piece collection of Spode Blue Italian transferware. The set features a classic Italianate countryside scene framed by an intricate Imari-inspired floral border.

The collection includes a four-piece place setting for ten to twelve guests, along with a matching tea service.

Each piece has a rich cobalt blue transfer design on a white earthenware body. The backstamps include both traditional Copeland Spode and modern Spode marks.

Condition

Excellent vintage condition. The set has been well-preserved. There are no chips, cracks, or structural damage visible. The glaze remains bright and glossy, and the blue transfer designs are sharp and vibrant. Minimal, normal shelf wear on the bases from gentle use over the years.

Age

Circa mid-to-late 20th Century. The combination of backstamps (including the oval "Copeland Spode's Italian England" mark and the straight-text "Spode England" mark) indicates pieces ranging from the mid-1900s through the late 20th century.
